RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

My name is Paul forum name minimivic, I have no real interest in tanks, but my 9 year old son does.
This means I am force fed tanks day in day out.
I’ve had to go to Tankfest, Tiger day, Mod tank etc and have spent countless hours researching with him.
Anyway we(he) have a taigen tiger1 late edition full metal.
His dream is to have a king tiger with lots of upgrades.

On a recent trip to Bristol armoured division club meeting we broke a gearbox so cut our day short.

So now the upgrades start, a new 4:1 gearbox has been installed and now we are researching ir battle systems.

We have a few problems and bridges to cross, so questions will be asked as we need to.

Hi Paul, my 8 yr old son and me also attend the bristol meetings. We missed the last one as we were on holiday. My son has a king tiger and loves it.

It’s funny but I’m already thinking about getting a tank so we can test and battle with ir.

Dom, yes be good to catch up and I’m sure they will get on well, especially with a king tiger in the mix.

I hope we will see you at the next meeting. We can have a chat about IR systems - Rob is the person to speak to. I would just say that we were all very impressed with your son's knowledge and you never know, once you start running a tank, it may lead to more of the same.
