Hi all. Still work in progress but I did two small test videos. All the sounds and music are from the tank, of course!

Edit: I was going to upload some photos, but after a lot of problems regarding size and kbs, and also the lack of photobucket, I got lazy and I put here a link of another forum.

Please if it is considered some kind of spam, just remove the link. No problem for me!.

A fine looking beast, Rad, and it even plays 'Yankee Doodle'! 'Gary Owen' (also k.a..."Garryowen' ) would also sound good, as it's a traditional Cavalry regiment tune. I also like the logs on the side, as they remind me of the liquorice root I used to chew as a kid.

Thanks guys. Glad you like the tank and the sounds. It has something like 40 songs like that, with dixie, yankee, doodle... even the british grenadiers theme, lol. Also 3 working machine gun sounds, 3 diferent cannon shooting sounds, 4 starting motor sounds and many many many things more.

I am in process of fine tunning the sounds, for example the motor idle sound is too loud for me... Maybe all the motor sounds are too loud and the rest of the sounds are not as audible as I want when driving.

I just need some time... Like days with 48 hours instead 24, lol.

Thanks!

Yup. I have like 15 sounds slots free, so any idea will be welcome.

Colonel Bogey -by Kenneth Alford aka Lieut F J Ricketts in 1914. Music for the words "Hitler, he only had one b***". A counter march was added by Malcolm Arnold and the result was used in The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Unfortunately the ASP 2 is long time out of stock... It is no longer produced and it will not be produced anymore. The reason is the chips that it uses for controlling the motors are out of stock worldwide and no longer produced... But not all the hope is lost, lets wait for an ASP 3!

About the sounds in the video, I did that soundset like one year and a half ago, that was my first step creating my own sounds... My hobby to-do list is getting bigger and bigger so I want to finish some things before I start with new projects, so that means I want to finish the Sherman once and for all, lol, and I want to re do all sounds, adjusting them here and there. For example the idler sound is too loud that nerfs the machine guns and quite a lot of things like that.

And of course I want to fill the empty sound banks too! I have a bunch of western songs (I mean the Ennio Morricone type, lol), radio voices, explosions... (and now the bridge kwai song too, thanks Herr Silversurfer) but the more songs/sounds I have, the better.

I wonder if he could design the board with external speed control similar to the open Panzer where people can configure their Motors and their drivers the way they like to and then they can use it in all different size models Etc and you don't have the issue with the chips
