I picked up this off ebay the other week, didn't fully realise how big it was until it arrived...

The turret is currently being dismantled so I can increase the accuracy and hide some FPV cameras

More pictures to come later as I get more bits running. The current plan is to get the turret and everything working with an IBU3 as a temporary thing, then to look into electronics with gun stabilisation.

Currently the turret rotated by a continuous rotation modified servo and a normal servo for elevation and there is no recoil mechanism or muzzle flash. Some of these may be changed as currently the turret struggles to rotate more than a little bit and a new counterweight for the gun barrel is needed.

looks like a nice buy - are planning to repaint it?

I expect so, lots of stuff to do before then. I have given it a few washes since then (that dirt really doesn't want to come off!)



First job is to clean it properly and make a new commanders hatch and the bits attached to it. If anyone knows where I can get a 1/8 scale KORD HMG it would be much appreciated!

The hatch both looks incorrect compared to pictures I've seen, and there looks to be a commander's optic there which would work well for a camera position.

Sorry for the late reply its 1/8 scale.

So I replaced the ESCs with some 80amp ones, redid all the wiring, repaired some damage to the fibreglass on the turret ring and purchased a 16Ah LIFEP04 battery.

Just got back from its first proper trial run, did a couple of laps around a field everything looking good and then *ping* one of the tracks snapped.
