Can anyone advise me which paint to use to replicate mud?
Ideally a sprayable paint might be best.
Where to buy it would also be good to know.
Thanks for your help.

I just use the cheap acrylic craft paints. Straight out of the bottle works for dried mud, and mix with some gloss medium for a wet look. Just take several different shades of brown and stipple it on for thin stuff, or mix in some baking soda for thicker mud.

My 2 cents worth.

Good and cheap trick there from Capt.midnight.

As base you could use some tamiya buff, ore AK-AMMO 'dust' airbrushed lightly to look like dust .

then use some of the ammo Heavy mud With a sponge, and top it With one ore to colors from the splash series .

here is some I made for my panther using some of the Products I had

Mr. Maxmekker achieved some fantastic results with these products. You can also go with various mixtures of water, plaster, regular paints, washes and real soil from outside. Important is to take your time and build it up in different layers. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=23958 here you can see that kind of approach. It took a few days of reworking, layering and rinsing. And after putting on wheels and tracks you can barely see it, but it is there.
