Been playing with some of those JJRC/Eachine '1/10' jeeps. I needed a break from work and also CAD and just fancied building some things to make a change. Brain was getting overwhelmed with work to do.

When i get like that, the best medicine is build a Rat Rod :)

Real stone chip underpan

Red oxide

Adding some paint

Going for a Rat Rod WIllys Jeep, so the paint will be a Camo coloured flame setup and then wear and rust it up a little.

Also did a bit of tuning on our 1/17 MAN Kat1 Fantasy Camper build

sorry to answer a bit late, but unfortunately I am a bit new in this world :D

But I am very interested in the GAZ AAA cab. Actually I am looking for the ZIS 6 cab, but maybe I can live with the GAZ AAA (too).
Only I would really like the more original wheels becasue, sorry to say, I dont like this ones :D

You can download and print a rough version of a GAZ AAA cab from thingiverse and 3d print it if you have a printer, although it will not be the same as ours
The wheels are designed to fit a close looking tyre which is available in the market, so the tread pattern will not be as per original real truck. That could be done and a tpu tyre printed and a wheel to suit, however this is my truck and it gets loads of offroad abuse and i prefer the rubber tyre fitted as they work great offroad. Good grip and offer a low level of damping aswell.

If you like post a picture of the wheel you prefer and i am sure a set of wheels could be drawn up to suit aswell as a set of tyres which could be printed

Thank you very much for the link and your tips.

I am looking into 3D printing a bit, although that really have to wait till next year or later.
But it really looks interesting to me.

Good the tyres work for you (I didnt mean to be rude our something by the way, sorry if it sounded that way)

Not at all, what works for some, doesn't work for others, we would all be very boring if we liked the same things

I have also started building a rather larger Bruder 8x8x4 truck conversion, ok its not so military, but it does feature a lot of cool stuff. This thing has some serious power and chassis.

Gee Will, now I am working on my Fayee, I can appreciate the work you have been doing with these trucks. Some great design work for 3D printing and nice paint touches such as the painted door cards. Neat.

Makes me look into what extras can be added to sharpen the details to 'tank' level. I'm going to pursue the Colonial Marines theme, which is somewhat difficult without a prototype to model.
