LED Question

Good morning all, I have bought some 3mm leds, white and red, both light fine on a 3v flat disc battery, the tanks
lighting circuit is about 3.4v, the reds light up no problem on the 3.4v, but not a glimmer from the white leds, its
not blowing the white as when checked again on the 3v battery they work.
Any solutions welcome in lay mans terms please as I am a mathematical idiot.

You know they have polarity?

Good afternoon, yes I do know that much short/long leg ect, I have seen some resistors on ebay which allow 3.3 volts
to work with the 3v led, tank light circuit is 3.4v so that may work.

Check your upper hull wiring voltage make sure it's not an open circuit or broken connection?

Hi carl, I have completely rewired the upper hull, running red leds all round at the moment :haha:
so there is power at all 4 lighting points.

From my experience, the slight extra voltage shouldn't stop them from working, merely shorten their life. I've used this site to help design a few kids' school projects.

That's correct my M-3 Lee project has 4v running the white headlights. My t-34/85 has 4.6v running the headlight off a servo controlled switch for a long time with no issues.

Good afternoon!
Has anyone here had any luck running one of those speck o' nothing leds off of the servo port in the RX?
