Hiya Guys

Want to start my panzer IV Build, and need to get some Tamiya TS-3 paint, only thing is, I must have spent the best part of 3 hours online last night trying to find a stockist with it actually IN STOCK and no one I can find does!

Apparently, according to a few of the websites, its been withdrawn because its not up to EU Regulations, something to do with the labelling, but the dates of these messages are 2008 so has anyone got any clues as to whats going on and where it can be obtained from?

I think I got the code right, its DK YELLOW I need 2 spray tins of it lol

Any help appreciated

Chris

AFAIK it's still unavailable because of the EU regulations that you mentioned. There are some alternative acrylic paints available e.g. Vajello - they do a range of accurate panzer colours.

Only just seen the post Tamiya paint is freely available throughout Europe all they have done is attack a stick on label with the correct information there are two shops hear in Brussels that always have the stuff in stock hear is the problem they would have to be purchased in €uroes and the £pond is currently at €1.15 so the exchange rate is low but the strongest it's been this year the other part of the bad new is the Yen at 157.5800 not the lowest it's been the average was 215.8000 a can if I remember is around €8-9 per can plus postage, have a look at models shops in Germany, France or Belgium

Well I spoke to a mate who works in Sussex Model Centre in Worthing, he said the Tamiya reps been in, and its an estimate 12-14 weeks before the new spray tins are available, and only limited colours :(

There are some Spray tins available mcevoyi, but are these you've seen Acrylic?

Im after TS-3 if they are :)

I was talking to a guy who sells it in his shop and apparently they did a recall on the Tamiya Paint due to lead, they are supposed to be sorting out the whole ranges by December 2009, if I hear of a date sooner I'll post it.
I was miffed as I wanted jars of Desert Sand for my Tiger, I only managed to get one which was the last one in the shop when I was getting my paints togeter for the build, I have now been out and bought the Humbrol Acryllic equivellent, thinned it with thinners and it air brushes on great :D

£4 each is less than they where 2 years ago so is an absolute bargain, when new stock comes in they will be a lot more
