Just got a new bb unit, test fired it and a rubber ring about 5mm deep flew out? Does it need to be in there? I put it back and fired a bb but it just shot out again.

Good afternoon,
You certainly need that small rubber gasket installed. If your current one is torn\cut\ripped so that it does not stay in place when the gun fires, you need a replacement. Should be available on Ebay or summat.

The gasket seems to be thicker at one end, which way round does it go, and how far in?

Cheers.

Good afternoon,
The rubber gasket fits on the end of the metal barrel inside the turret and should have a lip to keep it in place when the metal barrel is inserted into the gun mechanism. If this lip is missing and the remaining rubber "ring" is shooting out of the barrel when the gun is fired, it is definitely time for a new gasket.

The last 2 shots the BB has stuck in the gasket, and before that I have 3 BB's stuck in the barrel. I think maybe the BB's are too big. I have 6mm .20 gram, I have measured them and they are 5.8mm, that's the right size though yeah? Maybe cus they're .20g? It's a brand new BB unit today btw.

Good afternoon,
The airsoft guns are the weakest part of any airsoft tank. it is not uncommon to see them fail on the first day of use. Do not use the horrible airsoft BBs that come with the tank. Get yourself some new airsoft shot from a reputable company. I use Crosman .12 gram glow in the dark tracer shot. 6mm is the correct size.
