My employer had just contacted me to ask if I can travel immediately to Austria to help with a project for 8 weeks. If I do go then I'll not have time to finish my Tiger in time for Cobbaton - can any of you el-mod experts take a box of parts and make it work for me?!? Ordinarily I would have said no to the trip, but thats a dangerous statement to be making right now...

The Hull is Zimm'ed and I have all of the remaining parts enroute (Thinktank blaster, speaker, 3:1 gears) I just need the El-Mod system setting up and the turret zimmed, oh and and a coat of paint applied...!

I'd talked with Tony about bringing this tank over for Cobbaton, and even tho he's no longer with us I feel that a promise is a promise

I'm hoping that I won't get my movement orders until next weekend so that I can finish the SturmTiger and Panzer IV (IR system set up and servo mounting in the Sturmpanzer), but I could use a couple of volounteer's as a back up plan...

The sad irony of this is I know without fail if Tony was still with us, he'd have emailed you by now, volunteering. Another Tiger to get his mitts on do... he'd have revelled in it 

All being well I hope to make it up to Cobbaton myself for one of the days, (if I can find someone to look after my dogs for the day) so hopefully I will get to meet some of you in person and match names to faces. Katie is looking forward to it and wants to take her T34 & P3 and if I have been brave enough to paint 205 I will bring her with me as well. In fact maybe I should use that as a goal to work towards.

I can install the Elmod no problem...but the Zimmerit...no way!

Tony would have been my first choice for this - but lets face it, he'd never be finished would he? - he'd get thru with one bit and then tear the whole thing up and start over because something else wasn't right...

I'm hoping I have the rest of the week to get it finished - head office is doing their usual "last minute demand for help", phone up at 3pm on a friday and insist that 3 guys to to Austria for 6 weeks, and they must be there by 9am monday morning ::) I'm hoping I can delay the flight out until Monday so that can get the Zimm and paint taken care of, hopefully I'll know more by tomorrow evening.
I'll send you a PM and we can go into more detail.

Nearly right Mart, he would done it alright because he knew you'd be relying on him but then you'd get a list as long as your arm of things he wasn't happy with...  ::) That's my Tony  :-*
