Hi all

I've not done much for ages and I need some ting to get my fingers working and brain ticking
As many of you know I tend to scratch build a lot of my armour ..but for once
I've decided to buy the tamiya M1A2 display version with the hope of making it in to a
Full rc battle ready tank using other people's electronics ..gearboxes and anu thing else I can cram in

I am not sure how far to upgrade the body of the tank ..but tusk ..seem to be the way to go
Perhaps ????

Wow very nice.

Expensive for a static but very tempting.

I agree Adam
But it means I've got £600 / 700 to play with ..to upgrade to full rc against the tamiya full option kit
And just a quick look at the plastic it's just outstanding tamiya quality detailing as you would expect
The tracks are metal with rubber pads and top class tamiya manufacturer as you would expect
It's certainly up there with the leo 2 and better than the type 10

Yep me too!

Thinking along the same lines but will be using Trumpeter kit as a donor for several details that IMO surpass the Tamiya parts.

I'll be watching to see how yours progresses.

No gears that I have seen, just the drive axles and fittings.

Hi Brian

No gearbox casings ....at all ..
and the way the driveshats are made it looks like a unique design
Specific to the full option M1A1
