Taigen Panther G

Hello all, been away for a while after a fall investigating a WW2 pillbox!

To avoid finishing my Stug I'm playing around with my Panther G kit. Taigen supply it with the option to mount some U shaped loops to the turret sides but I can only find one period photo of a tank with them attached. Clearly they were seldom used but were they for spare tracks or camo? Not sure as they don't look like track hangers on other tanks.

Also, on Panther G did the schurzen overlap at the attachment points?

Cheers,Dava.

Hi Dava
I recently read somewhere that additional loops were welded to Panthers to secure natural camouflage such as tree branches, bushes, foliage etc. to blend in to the countryside to avoid being detected by enemy fighters.
Will try to locate the source document where I read this.
Regards
Andy
