Rumble gearbox

I finally finished replacing the gearboxes on Rumble the T-90. Filing his sprockets was a pain to accommodate for his new, large screws that attack the wheels and drive shafts together.
I can't help but feel some resistance on the left tracks, but some lube fixed that. I didn't put these round things (I forget what they're called) in between the sprocket and shaft assembly because it didn't want to fit.
Should I run it as is, or reassemble with them?
Also in the pictures is the lube I used that the hobby store suggested I use.
