hl bulldog ride height ?

hi all
just looking at a bulldog i got this morning from my local market in burnuham on sea ( £35 s/s version ).....
and i am woundring about the ride height .. seems too high .. so has any one ever cut down hl springs
?
as i have the chassis in mind for a modern project ....
