i do love these step by step builds, always rewarding to see how others solved the mods and issues, sometimes like oneself, sometimes in a very different way

go on mate!

best regards
Thanks for the thumb-up Mr Jussek
I will keep on with it for sure.
Seems to me that I am ok at rough tanks rather than 'Swiss-watch' extravaganzas !!
The rear of the turret has been filled in and now only needs sanding off to match the profile.
I still need to locate a Taigen recoil unit, none here it seems due to no one keeping stock.
So it is held up a bit.
Once the recoil is in, I can close the turret up & really get on with the hull.

I've got an unused Taigen recoil unit, but I think some or all of the wires might have broken off. If we can find a wiring diagram, I can solder some new cables on and it's all yours.

While the Wife is in Rockhampton at a hockey tournament, I have taken the quality time to be Mr Mum/Mom.............

That being getting the engine hatch sorted out  :shh:
Made the catch out or an ever decreasing section of floor sweeper cover.
It is in the end a fraction long, but it will do.
At least it will allow fairly clean access to any relocated switches I can do.
Filed out the moulded latch and ground off the incorrect catch for it.
Formed the new latch and secured a new catch section to the engine deck.
Used a dress making pin cut down to use as a hinge pin once I drilled the old latch moulding out.

Used old sim card holder material to infill under the hatch & Bob's ya uncle

Good morning, Herman,
I don't feel so lonely now that I know a bud is also working on a Tiger build. Sweet stuff! Your rear engine deck access hatch mod turned out perfectly. That will be handy for controls as you mentioned, also great guns for easy smoker refills. ( if you run one ) Following along,
always regards,
Painless

Herrmann - wouldn't it be nice if your switches and their labels matched the style of the Fu radios?

Funnily enough I was working on a hatch hook last night. They aren't that difficult to make but they are fiddly. I still haven't had the nerve to cut the deck. I want to make opening hatches on both my Tigers. Nice work.

Just cut it mate, do not let the thought of 'what-next' prevent you achieving the what next.
Once its cut, you will sort it. You'll have too ;)
