Just got a henglong m41a3 tank with my birthday money and want to make it ir i hv no idea how to and want to join a club and whant to find an ir battlefeild i live in the uk dont know any clubs if u do plz help me out thank u ....

I hv bean driving rc cars and semi trucks since i was 7 and i reacently just got the henglong m41a3 . I was told to join this forum by a youtuber called gary hoff also know as maz-u52 bc he told me to use this to get help from u guys about geting into ir and were there ar clubs near me . So i joined the club and if im honest i dont realy know much about this forum and how to us it . . Sorry if i hv coursed truble already but i didnt know what to say .

Whereabouts in the UK are you? Unfortunately, RC tank clubs seem to be few and far between.

Heng Long used to produce an IR system but no more. The standard used for battling is the Tamiya system. To install this normally requires the replacement of the Heng Long electronics with a new board. This can get quite expensive. However, an Australian has produced a board which plugs in between the turret and the Heng Long board. Thi is a much cheaper otion and is available in the UK from http://www.rctankelectronics.com/store/ ... O2017.html The owner of this business is a member of this forum and goes under the name of Tankbear.

Incidentally, welcome to the forum. Have a read through some of the threads and you will see how we do things. It is nice to see a young tanker here - a number of us (like me, for instance) are headed towards the other end of the age spectrum. We are a friendly bunch,so when you have any questions,ask away.

So far as UK clubs, you will find members of several here. It would help us if you could indicate what part of the UK.
