Hi all,

It's great to be able to join here. This place seems to be the best place to talk tanks. I have 3 Heng Long tanks now. The Sherman, Tiger 1 (all metal tracks and gears), and the Panther.

I had a lot of pics to post of my tanks, planes and general collections, but I now realize this website runs on a more modest budget than RCGroups and can't support pic hosting any substantial sizes. Working off an ipad I don't have the resource to downsize the files, and don't belong to a photo hosting site. Maybe I'll look into it so I can share. Or maybe I'll post the pics on my RCgroups blog and post the link here...that should work for now.

I have 3 RC tanks, 4 RC trucks, about 60 planes, 7 modest helis, and used to have some RC boats but sold them. I build a lot of plastic models, mostly cars, but have built some ships and spent one winter building an aircraft carrier....it wasn't large, but very detailed.

You all seem really nice people, and have yet to read a troll comment. Either you all are so much nicer across the pond, or you do a great job of modding...lol.

Nice to meet you all! :P

Good evening,
Welcome to the Forum, Tread. It really is the best place to discuss our favorite RC addiction, Armor. Pictures of your tanks when you get the chance. We love to chat and kick the virtual road wheels around here.
regards,
Painless

I have a few reference books from before the internet had everything. That should help with detailing... I have a great tank cross section illustrated book as well. really helped me understand how everyone fits in there.

Just bought Fury on Bluray so I'll always have it. Haven't seen it in a while, so looking forward to viewig it again.

I really got hooked on tanks a few years ago when playing Call of Duty 2 on Xbox. Every time I could jump in that Sherman tank I giggled.

Now playing Battlefield1 on Xbox One and enjoying driving those cool WW1 tanks whenever I can get my hands on one. Love the flamethrowers! it so cool to drive an RC tank with all the features they have, but to virtually get in one in a videogame, and actually interact with a virtual environment....wow. :wtf:

It's awesome to have the best of both worlds and to have cool RC toys that didn't even exist no too long ago.

Hallo Sir I feel as though I have met you before :haha: :haha:
Welcome to the Forum
Do we have to call you Tread Flintstone or is there a diminutive we could use,?
Lot of helpful people here from all over the world but beware there are a lot of people here from the UK and we have a sense of humour that does seem to have an odd effect on members from other country's :lolno: :lolno:
If you have questions we have answers, some of them might even be correct
If you have answers we would like to hear them but whatever happens please enjoy this place, most of us do some of the time
Shaun.

I must say, a marvellous hobby display. But hold on, you got rid of the slot car track!? Sacrilege. . . .

Mick.
Yeah...took down the slot car set...sold every single item on ebay...I had well over 100 cars...turns out there were huge bidding wars on some of them. Made some serious money. Used the space to store more planes.

Truth is I used to have people over for heated Friday night racing...then people got busy...race nights died off...and I hardly ever used it. It was up for about 5 years or so. Just rotating my toys!

Now Just have to figure out which car to kick out of the garage to make room for that 1:6 tank! :haha: anyone have $8000 to lend me? :wtf:
