Bevel gears in HL tank?

Found a bevel gear on ebay that supposedly fits a HL tank. Has anyone ever installed such a gear in a HL tank? What would be its advantages over a standard gearbox?
Thanks

That would probably be the highly desirable gearbox setup from ETO, like this one:

- ETO bevelled final drive gearbox

..very nice, but pretty pricey

Well seeing its already at 45€ with 6 days to go I doubt its in my price range. I'll gladly give more determined tankers on this forum a go, lol

I see that the seller will not ship to the UK, so at least that will reduce the competition!

Could you modify the shaft to fit HL? Or is it an absolute no go for HL?

Yeah, I am. Luckily for people in the UK and Germany there are loads of tank retailers

I sent the chap a message and it appears the gear will come with brass adapters that are designed for Tamiya but should fit HL with a bit of filing...
Looking promising!
The question still stands however: Are these a significant improvement over the regular gearboxes? Are they worth the trouble?
