Thinking of building rc p1000 tank

One problem is the size of the tank. Its impossible to have 1/16 or even 1/35. It will be so big that moving it around is a hassle. I am thinking about 1/72. Just make it slightly bigger than a 1/16 king tiger. So its still playable. I live in an apartment, so no such thing as backyard or garden. What do you guys think?

If you went 1/1, you could move out of the apartment and into the Tank; along with the entire family and a few neighbours too!.. :) From a practical point of view, though, the P1000 Scaled to the size of a Tiger (+)would have the benefit of available gearboxes, wheels etc...and MFUs.

Haha thanks for the picture!! Btw i feel the 28cm gun is too small and barrel too short. I think it can fit bismark turret and super long 15" barrel!! Lol

If you want to go bigger, why not the P1500 Monster? It was supposed to have been armed with the 800 millimetre Schwerer Gustav.

Or a Karl. Yes, that is a PZ IV to load its shells.

Haha, problem is p1500 is not a tank, more like spg. No turret and reloading way too slow. So i am think perhaps upsize the gun to 15" and use some form of autoloader to speed up loading. Then long barrel 15" so shells fly at over 1200m/s. This will allow the gun to hit tanks.

I dont know but i just assumed that 15" gun should be able to destroy any tank, even modern tanks.

Because the tank never actually existed, and would probably never have worked if they had actually tried, it relieves the pressures of 'realism' and lets you do what you want.

Find the tank parts you can't easily make ...like tracks or wheels...and work your scale from there. There is no value in keeping it to a strict scale if it means you have to fabricate a load of tricky parts. Especially when I coulnt the number of wheels and track links you are going to need!
