Evening all,

I'm about to start my t 55 build and I'm looking for any recommendations for a good strong bonding superglue for the kit as there are quite a few more bits to glue than a standard H/L. Just wondering what you guys use and have had good results with, I've used a few different brands but I can't say that I've been overly impressed with any of them,

Yup , Poundland superglue is good stuff , get the bottles , not the tube type ( gel - it isn't much cop ) B.

I use a Sellys product, and on occasion a Loctite.
Both are Gel, slow cure High impact resistant.

I found another interesting product it is a dual compound epoxy curing within 5 minutes by by Pattex. Glued the clasps and clamps to my tank. Until now it is bombproof. Even mostly resistant to shearing.

Glue is fine if you are certain that the two parts are truly going to be joined permanently,
But if you are in doubt then I would always try an alternative,
A Pin Vise and Neo-Dymion Magnets, and A Rolson Tap & Die Set along with a set of Nut Spinners and variety of different size nuts and bolts will not only usually do the job but they look right and if you use a decent threadlock they will stay in place until you need to remove them.
There are also items you might not think of but will do a good job such as "Velcro",
This is where I do use Superglue, I glue the "Velcro" Precut Sheet to the plastic inner floor of any Tank build which allows me the ability to place any item such as a smoker or a receiver or a control board anywhere in the Hull and it is totally secure and yet I can remove it anytime.
A strip of "Velcro" Glued to the back of a Battery allows you to place it on the side of the hull rather than taking up space on the floor.

Loctite 401 it costs a bit more but a very good one.

I would add "Loctite 243" as a good quality Threadlock.

How do you find they perform in high humidity, Herman? I've got the medium and thick Zap-a-gap stuff, and I can't use them in summer; they bond instantly instead of the 5-10 minutes they say on the bottle. I reckon it's because CA is cured by water and heat, and when we're up above 80% and 30° it sets solid as soon as it has something to bond to. It's a pain in the arse, to be honest.
