Hi all, just wondering if anyone has been mad enough to do a 1/16 Ratte?

Would certainly be an impressive build, can't imagine how big the thing would be in this scale!

I reckon it would be easier to make the hull out of 3mm steel and weld it together rather than glue it !
Hell of a project alright 8O

Here's one being built in 1/35 scale, and it's a fascinating read-through. To get it to 1/16, I believe all you'd have to do is enlarge his obstacles by about 219%. http://www.armorama.com/modules.php?op= ... 353&page=1

If the numbers in sassgrunt's link are correct I think you're looking at about 6ft long?

I rather have a TOG 2 instead of a ratte since there isn't many British tanks

I'm sure Dave will happily sell you the tracks! The other part of the tracks that didn't look correct was using three sets of (possibly) KT tracks: would the links/pins take the stress?

I think you'd need to make the wheels - they look to be a lot bigger than KT?

I reckon King Tiger tracks, two sets side by side using replacement pins to join them together to get the width.
1/6th late Tiger 1 steel wheels, 1/6th KT drive sprockets & Idlers.
Fishing rod for the main turret guns, and Coelion turrets for the rear AA units.
A guy with a printer could run wild on this !!

Or Im just on the crack yeah !!
