A source for scale butterfly wing nuts needed

Hi guys,

As the keepers of all tanking wisdom, does anyone have a link for 1/16 scale butterfly wing nuts. I think M1 would do, but I can only find down to M3.

The only ones i've found are the schumo ones, and there a bit pricey for just 6 bolts.

I'm trying to scratch the tow cable holders on my Tiger, I just cant find the butterfly nuts.

Cheers,
Rik

Hello Rik.

I think ABER make them, but they might be part of a larger kit of upgrade parts for the Tiger I, rather than just on their own. There is a company in Canada called AIRCONNECTION that carry ABER items. You might be able to find them there at least, and if you can find an ABER part number do a more saturated search on the web.

Cheers,

David

Hi David,

I've seen the Aber ones. They look very fiddly. I was hoping to find one I could actually set up to function. The Aber ones are 2D. Thanks for the suggestion.

Cheers,
Rik

Here's a couple of options:

http://www.axels-modellbau-shop.de/katalog/en/116-Military/Common-Accessories/Butterfly-Screw-Set-1-16::492.html

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=8842364

Last link will take you to a nice Sherman build with some mini wing nuts on it.

Thanks for the links guys. The ones at Axel's i've seen before. They could be made to work with a small tap.
That Sherman is a nice build! I love the cast hull. Thanks again. I guess i'll go with the schumo ones as they appear to be the only ones ive seen in the right size.
Cheers,
Rik
