Revamp of King Tiger.

My lad bought me a second hand King Tiger last Christmas, I finally got around to checking it out.

The electrics are kaput, the hatches broken and in all rather poor condition. So, I decided to use it as a test bed for various camo and colour schemes.

Not sure what I am going to do with it when finished (still stuff to do), keep until I can afford to slap some bits in it or sell the shell.

Anyway, her she is so far.

Eddie it looks fabulous as it is. I like the variation of the camoflouge pattern on two colors like Mr Maxmekker setup his awesome panther. Like two seperate tanks merged to make one beast!

Thanks mate. Main reason is I ran out of paint :D But, I do think it works in a strange way.

I have done some more weathering and the tracks are now weathered so will get some more pics up soon.

I like the look of the combination of different camouflage kind of makes it look like it was out in the field was rushed back in the service after some Surplus parts were put on it from another tank which makes it even more realistic

I agree, maybe a different turret etc, from two damaged tanks.

UPDATE.

I have weathered the tracks, hull and turret more added numbers etc, I painted these on. She is 90% finished on the outside, need a cupola MG ring and mount, couple of grab handles. Once done it is decision time, sell or keep until I can afford to get some electronics for her.

It really is a good-looking King Tiger tank I own three of them and this is by far the nicest looking one that I've come across in a long timeImage
