Finally, after 5 years!

Hi all, I joined about 5 years ago when I got a project Heng Long Tiger I, I never did get it going and ended up selling it on...
But finally a couple of weeks ago I bought a Heng Long Bulldog, with the 2.4GHz set, smoke, lights and sound. Love it, looks great trundling around the garden, though the instructions are overly clear where I'm supposed to put the smoke fluid, so I've not got that working yet.
My main problem though, is that it had been out the box about 30 seconds before my 5 year old wanted 1, and after a few minutes in the garden my 2 year old also wanted 1! The eldest had some money from Christmas and birthday so I promptly showed him all the different tanks, and he chose a Tiger I, with smoke and sounds, we ordered it and then waited patiently for it to arrive. Unfortunately when it came, they'd sent the wrong model, it was a Tiger, but no smoke or sound, and subsequently I had a very sad child. They got it collected and a couple of days later the correct one arrived. Sadly he was to be disappointed again, as this time it was the correct model, but the transmitter wouldn't power on. I'd read somewhere that the batteries didn't fit great in the TX, so I moved them all over with a flat blade screwdriver, to make sure contact was made but alas nothing. Another phone call to the seller, a short swift argument with an incredibly rude man, they agreed to collect it, and refund as by now I didn't want my son disappointed a 3rd time! That was with the 27MHz radio set.
So now I've got a Tiger I 2.4GHz on order for him, from a different seller, for not a lot more than the 27MHz. Heres to hoping it comes and works, if it doesn't I've said he can have mine!
While all this has been going on, my 2 year old has been getting more and more interested, to the point of pushing a chair up to the worktop in the kitchen, standing looking at the tank, very politely asking if he can have a go. You know how much he likes something by how nice he is about asking to play with it. So now we've also got a 2.4GHz Snow Leopard on order for him. Should be fairly safe from being broken as his favourite thing is the noise of the main gun with the recoil, though I will definitely be 'disabling' the BB function, just in case... Watch this space...
