I've only built 2 Tamiya tanks, the Tiger and the Panther. My first was the Tiger, which I enjoyed thoroughly - it went together beautifully and I have been very pleased with it. It also has the advantage of being one of the less expensive ones.

Sherman is quite easy and so is the kv.

Tiger is big so space for the electrics

Ah I had forgot the panther! That's also nice out the box. The JS-2 and the king tiger needed modification. I'd also give the Pershing an honourable mention, it's very nicely engineered runs brilliantly, however it's quite tight inside and you have to be neat with your wiring.

I would say the old kits like the tiger and Sherman for the beginners. Easy to assemble and very robust and reliable.

my advice is the Pershing.
Top quality and easy to assemble. And convertible to M45

The "super Sherman" is a curious one, if you want an accurate m51 there's much work to do

I'm not bothered about being accurate as long as it looks like one
