Note – Unzip the downloaded folder and DO NOT rename the file, the IBU2U will ignore the update if it is renamed.

New feature

User can define what happens when transmitter signal is lost, choice of engine shuts down or engine remains in idle state. To use this new feature you need to add the following command line into your ibu2u.ini setup file

MotorOnRadioOff=0; 0=Engine shut down when the TX signal is lost, 1=Engine remain on with idle sound present when TX signal is lost.

Improvements

When setting off Engine Rev is played, before tank moves and movement sound is played
Rev down file played in transition from movement sound to engine idle
Speaker pop noise at power on, now rectified
Board configuration loss, when using weak battery. Now rectified


RC Tank Electronics will update firmware of stock before sending out. If you are unaware what version firmware your IBU2U is running remove the microSD card and place in computer and you will see a “board Data” file open this and you will see something like this.

SYSTEMTYPE=BASE

Here you see the firmware version 0012.001

Do i have to do that with the IBU2U Full Option i got recent ? ...

Yes all IBU2U shipped before today (26 may) have fw0012.001 installed you if you want latest features need to update.

If u can 1) Resend a little more clear video with the steps to understand the steps. Slow and clear video. 2)I did not have any program of IBU at all. What programs i must install ? Thank u sir.

No special programs needed.

Procedure

Download zipped folder from above link
Unzip the downloaded folder
Place microSD card from IBU2U into computer
Copy the FW0012 file from the unzipped folder to the root of the microSD card.
Close window and eject microSD card
Place into IBU2U
Turn power on, blue LED goes solid for about 10 seconds whilst it erases old and installs new firmware.
It will automatically restart after update, IBU2U will flash LED doing system checks then go solid

That’s it.
NO need to delete the FW0012 file it does that itself.

I only put it back into the computer to show that the system had been updated.

I've just tried to update mine but no luck as yet!!. When I open the zip files I get a file with HEX on the end???_ Brian...

That's correct FW0012.hex copy to microsd card and put in IBU2u and turn on

Yep the update file is on the sd card but can't seam to copy it into the board data file!!.

No don't copy to board data file just put into IBU2u and turn on it will do the rest.

Also make sure your using a fully charged battery.
