I've seen a few videos on youtube of Tigers (and other tanks) with what appears to be controllabe hull MG's.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to acheive this? It looks awesome, but I know very little about RC electronics.
Cheers guys,
Rik

Someone just posted a video with one of these. Did we ever find out how to do it? I'm searching but can't find the recent post...

I was the one who recently posted the vid of my Tiger1 142 that I just finished with the moving MG. I thought the moving MG would give it a little more fun to watch. Vid is a little poor, but you can see the action.

For those interested. I used a Hitec hs 55 micro servo double sided taped to the front glacia. Than ran a brass wire thick enough to move the MG, but thin enough to have a slight give. This way the MG will have a non predetermined course. The wire is wrapped around the MG base (not to tightly) and a small zip tie is placed behind the wire on the cable to prevent it from sliding off. The wire and arm use is up to you and the desired effect. Trial and error here. I will post pics if wanted. I have to pull the Tiger apart to get them. I didn't take any before hand.
I use a HiTech 6 radio which has a rheostat control for ch 5.

As others have said excellent mod job !!

been wondering how to do this myself after seeing this effect on some tamiya tanks off youtube. And btw, nice tank too ! do you have a battle unit in it ? or maybe those were the stock sound fx ? I would be very interested in pics to see how you accomplished this exactly, although I understood your description, I'm still sorta new to this hobby + I learn better visually, so I really do want to learn a bit more about this ~ specifically linking tank effects via servo & radio.
