I don't know if anybody watched this last night, but it was pretty good with a fair bit of tank/armour action.
D Day to Berlin BBC 2 11.20. Shaun bean did the commentary. If you missed it check it out on BBC i Player.
Part 2 is on this evening same time 11.20 its called Allies at War, Well worth a look.

Last night showed the action in the Bocage ( Wittmanns action ) Also, footage from the Goodwood and Empson attempted break outs. A lot features reenactment as well.

no problems its really worth the watch, did include alot of well done reenactments inc lots of tanks which is good to see for once!

Yer I saw that very good except when he was describing British damage they showed the Knocked out sSS101 Tigers , unless i heard him wrong , I was half asleep . But thanks for reminding me its on.

I bought the BBC 3DVD box on Amazon. Its a great set - worth all the money

Yes I saw it,and found it very intetresting.The only part that made me smile a bit was when the German infantry were retreating through the Ardennes and Sean Bean said they were fighting as if their lives depended on it!!!!-DUHHH! One really interesting fact though,I was always told that the expression "The Iron Curtain will fall across Europe" was Winston Churchills,but no,it was Goerbels months before.It just goes to show whose foresight was better.

Hi yer it was a good . But as a former member of a living history group . I did notice the US soldiers were carrying British Lee Enfields not the M1 Garand , in parts . But over all it was worth watching and I think I will get the box set eventually.

been watching it on yesterday on freeveiw
