I have a question about fitting a sherman 76 turret to a heng long sherman hull and how do you do it

The turrets a straight swap...there's lots you can do to improve it depending on how far you want to go....

I'm justalking doing a basic swap but not sure which cable goes where

Sorry, I don't know anything about wiring up the BB units as I rip them out of most of my builds...

Well it's just the case of finding out which wires are for what or I do have a spare heng long turret from my ARV conversion and change the unit and elevation on it
If you rip the bb unit out how do you get the gun to elevate

The heng long units wont fit in a mato turret and the BB feed is on the opposite side.

On mine I'm using a taigen 2.4 board so for the wiring I copied a heng long turret what i did was a red and black wire to the elevation unit the red wire then goes to the BB on/off switch then to the BB gun and then IR bulb theres another black wire to the BB unit then to the IR bulb so you should have 3 wires 2 black and 1 red for the BB gun and elevation unit and 2 separate wires for the micro switch.

For your own peace of mind though check how the turret your taking off is wired it might be different.

If when you plug in the micro switch you keep getting the gun firing and track recoil take the wire off the centre pin on the micro switch and solder it to the empty outer pin so you have 2 wires going to the 2 outer pins of the micro switch.
Also there is a stopper in the mato elevation unit which will need removing so it can cycle through.

if you HL sherman is 5.30 version ( 2.4G ) , you need a new 8pin plug , and do that barrel elevation seperate circuiting.

Mato turret onto HL hull will fit but the electrics needed a little tinkering and soldering as I remember (basically just collecting the wires together to make a HL compatible plug). Scale wise I believe the bottom on the Mato turret is apx 4-5mm taller than it should be, some people cut that out of the circular section and glue the ring back on. I toyed with one for my Sherman but in the end decided to leave it off as wasn't impressed with the quality of the plastics/electronics. It's a shame as the BB barrel had a built in hop up unit a bit like a proper airsoft gun.

Well I have tried it on my sherman ARV but only gothe the elevation to work but not the BB unit but I might get a Taigen High Intensity Flash
