Simulating welds

Ive seen some really good simulations of weld seams on the site, Has anyone done a "How to", or has anyone got some hints and tips ??? :)

Its for 1/35 scale, but can be scaled up easily.

hi there dragon

i use a pea cutter / scriber tool form tamiya to make the grooves

then a souldering iorn to make the weld pattern ..

i also use a soldering iorn to do zimmerit

pea cutter for grooves and panel lines then a pyrogravure for weld seams and torch marks, or you can roll milliput into long thin strands put it where you need it and texture with a scalpel blade.........
