I have a futaba 8j and am a not familiar with some of the terms etc need to setup the radio. I'm a quick study though.

My goals are to set a model up that the clarke 1/2 up and left / right is on a three position switch. That way up on the switch would be up etc...

I also want to set up a madel that lets me use the switches to controll the IBU diagonals to switches.

Do I use the DR (dualrate) function to do this?

I did setup a throttle curve that let me use my trainer switch as a fire switch.

FWIW I drive with the right stick and ele / trav left on a mode 2 TX

I did some reading and found what want to do is differential thrust by mixing throttle and another channel. Not Dual rate at all.

I'm lost about which one will need to be the master.
This should give me the elevation and depression function for the Clark correct?
I think I need to set switch X to Position 1 (down) throttle +75 rudder -75
position 2 (null) throttle 0 rudder 0
position 3 (Up) throttle +75 rudder +75

To set the switches for the IBU I believe I would change the values to 100 to achieve the up / left for smoker on/off and up right for light on/off

Does this make sense to you radio guys? Or am I lost?
