Absolutely Mr B.

Looks excellent. Great work.
Why did you decide to take out the Torro steel gearboxes in favour of the DKLM ?

And there we go again... The paint job is 90% of the tank. Have an over detailed tank with tons of flimsy PE parts and put on a crap paintjob... But the other way around even stock tanks look amazing.

Good Afternoon,
I seem to resemble that remark. *chuckles* Paint is an important factor and a well done paint job certainly ups the ante in the EyeCandy Dept. If, however, you are painting HL 'Frogeyes' and molded on tools, the closer one gets to the vehicle, the more the luster is lost. Before I sound snobbish, anyones tank is their version and once complete, it is uniquely theirs, perfect as it stands. Apologies to the OP, his paint job is truly astounding as the chipping looks just like metal under the top coat. Being able to paint like that is a 'detail' in its own right. On the other side of the table, say someone wants to super detail their tank and paint it with a rattle can, it is theirs to do so with. I have an airgun and have never used it. I haven't had to yet. Doesn't mean I won't one day. *bows* Soeren, this detail vs paint is a picking point with you. Sir, it is enough that people are enjoying the hobby. Apologies but I wanted to clear up the air before this issue turned into an 'us' vs 'them' thing. Tanks and the Hobby thereof should never be subjected to such.
regards,
Painless

Sorry, I didn't want to offend anybody, nor had I expected that anybody would. Interesting to get such a reaction. In this case I was just referring to to this particular build. Didn't know that you were using rattle cans though ;). But one can get gould results out of rattle cans as well. I only recently got an airbrush. Lust summer I was painting up my Nerf foam flinger collection, rattle cans to the max. The results were great.

This model looks superb to me. Well done Machine

I have neither the patience or the time to super detail my tanks - I respect those that do.
