I love to have rubber tires on my tanks but not the weight of the metal wheels. I wonder if there's any way of keeping the h/l plastic wheels but having rubber tires.. sounds very unlikely and super time consuming, has anyone had a go..and can you buy the rubber tires separately?
Cheers
Jake

They probably would not fit, but Tamiya use rubber tyres for both the Panther and Tiger. I imagine they would be available from Axel's.

My Panther I was thinking, but you would have to sand down the plastic tire first for the rubbers to fit, might be a bit nuts to try lol

You'd probably have to buy the tamiya rubber tyres but would be an absolute mission lol

Hand sanding or filing would be a long job. If you have access to a lathe it would be much quicker.

Cordless drill and a blade...............or a coarse file.
Zip tie on the trigger once set up, and tape the thing to a support so you can push on the wheel.
Lathe much better, but harder to get hold of.

Wheel in a Dremel in a Drill stand, at 45 degrees and spin up the Dremel to speed then abrade the contact area of the wheel.

Jake, I am no great lover of Health and Safety BUT do wear a face mask and protective eyewear when using your Dremel in this way.
