Ebay/Paypal always favour the buyer, so what they have done is what they do. If your listing said 'No Returns accepted' you may have some comeback, but if it didn't then you have to take it back. The buyer pays the postage, make sure he sends it 'signed for' post and provides a tracking code.

Have you explained to him how to turn it on etc?

At the end of the day, once you have it back, you can re-list it, or advertise it elsewhere.

A week , he could have wrecked it in a day if he had no idea how these things work.
Tell him no refunds.

I did say due to the nature of the hobby no returns accepted I will take it back but am wondering in what condition it will be in I just assumed that people who are into this hobby know a little of what they are doing and I have offered support and advice

It seems strange that he says the radio is dead and the tank is not working. If the radio was dead he wouldn't be able to activate the tank, so how would he know that it wasn't working? The chances of the radio not working are pretty rare.

My guess is that he has changed his mind about wanting a tank, buyers remorse as it is called.

I would write to the Resolution Centre, state that the tank and radio were working perfectly prior to despatch, and that you stated that there would be no returns due to the nature of electronics and end user knowledge. They may possibly smile upon you, but if not then you will have to accept their decision.

Had me one of those cases my self .

Sold a Clark tk60 Board to a Customer , and as always, I hooked it up and tested all functions, and did a short video to show him all was good , before I posted it to him. ( I do this With all stuff I sell to have as documentation)

After a week he was on me , board was not responding, would behave 'strange' , and it made his tank drive of the dinning table and smash ... :/

A little back and forth I got it back in Return, and did a refund, no point in arguing. But I had the video I made before I sendt it , and I did another video upon Return .ยจ

sorry to hear you had a hard time

I wonder if something else made it "behave strange"

I also had a similar situation with eBay. Sold a custom tank. About a week later it wasn't working no problem at first I got annoyed and then I just realised no need to get worked up.

EBay will mostly rule in buyers favor so don't sweat it.

Get the tank back I'm sure someone ( like myself would live to buy it)

Anyway....

I had them return my tank to me and after a thorough inspection it had some broken bits. Not a big deal. Some people have buyers remorse.

I repaired the small bits and relisted it.

Sold again with no problems

Mr Maxmekker some of my tanks are now behaving quite strange.....

Oh no
