Heng Long Tiger I Mato Chassis Eastern Front

Hi to allImage I am constantly tinkering away in my workshop when I'm not at work. I spent the weekend with my children and had some time to finally finish the paint and weathering. I have honestly never done paint chipping before so I said the heck with it and went for it.

I watched a very nice video from Mr Maxmekker on YouTube about weathering and chipping so this is the end result. I must say that the chipping really brought a lot of depth to the model. It gives it a nice worn and weary look of a tiger on the eastern front. I added two different washes to finish it.

The Mato metal hull has quick release magnets and is nice ( after I had to rework it a bit). I had to do a lot of work to it to make the hull and suspension function properly. The tracks are metal and I have to finish weathering them.

It has a Visaton FRS 7s speaker and a Clark tk22 board. The radio is a 9xrpro.

Thanks so much for looking

Carl

Just as well you get time to work on your armour Carl :haha:
Mato Hulls of the Tiger variety need some graft to get them up to scratch !
Nice work on the model.
Is a video in the offing to hear what it sounds like ?

Is that meant to be a mid-production model, Carl? It looks like it began life as an early production type, and then it suffered an attack of armoured body dysmorphia. Deep down, it had always 'known' it was a mid production model :D

Yes indeed. It's my very first Heng Long Tiger I've had for many years and it's transformed and morphed more times than a scifi movieImage
