I agree, but there should be some written expectations for what an out-of-box review should be and include. That way, when you open a link, you know what information will be included in the review. That would be especially useful for the new releases.

I would want to see:

Detailed photos of:
Each bit and part (sprues, HL accessories, etc)
upper & lower hulls (all sides and top/bottom)
turret including main gun tube and muzzle brake (all sizes and top)
road wheels, sprockets, idlers, return rollers
tracks
decals, tank commander, etc

Write-up that lists:
gearboxes and motors
electronics (MB, LEDs, wiring, slip rings, servos, etc)
initial impressions of body flex, suspension, etc
detail accuracy

That's all off the top of my head right now. Basically, any question you would want answered or shown before you buy something.

Just to add to Phillipats list a link to the dealer and a note on the service and of course the price inc postage.

Wholeheartedly agree...although a really detailed checklist, as with airworthiness certificates, or car MOTs ( Roadworthiness in the UK) might put some people off. However, a bespoke 'Review' section..with an out-of-the-box section is a great idea. Clearly, though, there's a difference between what's lurking in a RTR box, and an assemble- it- yourself Tamiya, Trumpeter, or other type.
As for the Tamiya, when I get round to the pleasure of unpacking it..I shall share my joy (or not!) and observations.

I like the checklist idea, give newer members an idea of what to include. If they are not sure, I bet that an answer can be found in the pictures.

I would also, personally, be happy to see something similar with the kit tanks.

Maybe even do something similar in the thread with options sets and such.

If anybody is interested, I can put a sample together using philipat's list as a guide line, with full pictures.

That's a lot to ask of your average R/C tank enthusiast.
If it's kept simple, we may get other members making a contribution to the Forum - at the moment there are only 40 or 50 people posting across all the sections.

I'll see if I can get a new section added. Probably called 'Unboxing'.

We need a Clark section in electronics as well.

Awesome! I'll try and get my T1 up on it tonight.

I do like the list of items to write up, but I think most of it can be ciphered out from pictures. I'm planning on going heavy with the pictures.

Just FYI, I'll be posting this in the thread as well, I ordered this tank from seller toolsempire on ebay. Cost was $79.99USD, including shipping.
