RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

I just bought a Heng Long Tiger 1 of someone who messed it up badly. It is the first RC Tank I have bought, but I have done static models for a long time. So I thought I'd give this a go.
The tank I bought had an ugly paint job and one of the gearboxes was broken.
I am in the process of repainting the tank and turning it into an Afrikakorps Tiger one. I have changed the plastic gearboxes to the metal version and I am changing the tracks, idler and driving wheels to metal.
I hope to find advice for the RC side of the tank if I run into any problems.

Sounds like you're getting right down to business there. Some of the newer RTR tanks, especially Taigen models (though Heng Long are much improved) are nicely presented at the outset. Oddly enough, that can be off -putting..as the "L" plate tanker might well be reluctant to spoil the finish of his spanking new pride and joy. Not so, with a battered, abused model. They're ripe for upgrading, and thus the perfect entry point into
