HL Panther G "Cuckoo"

Been converting a HL Panther G into the tank that was captured by a British armoured unit in the Netherlands, repainted and named Cuckoo. It's the first time I've based a tank build on a specific real life tank so I searched out these reference photos.

Used the old "Crispy method" of melting the zimmerit into the plastic with a flat head soldering iron.

Ground off the road wheel mould lines.

Replaced the noisy smoker pump with a silent running fan.

Image

Added a few details and mods to match the ref photos as best I could and then got busy with the rattle cans, oils washes and graphite pencil.

And now it's finished :)

Smoker mod works well.

Will be at the SEAG tank meet at Tunbridge Wells on Seat 18th if not sold before.

Hope you like. C&C are welcome.

Regards

Quick question I am also building a modified smoker wirhout the piston and a small fan. What model fan did you use? I'll show pictures of my fan and my smoker. I appreciate your feedback

Sorry I see the model in the video I have the same fan. How did you attach or build the box that feeds the smoke chamber for fan?

As you can see I attached mine directly to the side. Haven't tested it yet

Thanks guys.

Looks like we have the same fan c.rainford. I'm about to build another fan smoker for my brother so I'll take pics of the process.

Quick question did you enlarge the hole into the smoke chamber? If so how big did you make it without risk of spilling any oil

Think I drilled it out to 3mm
