Heng Long Tiger 1 in need of replacement wiring

Morning all,

I've recently joined and have an early production Tiger 1 from Heng Long.

The model has some problems. It looks like an early version of the Heng Long model as the circuit board is an all in one affair, including receiver, and has the motor wiring, etc. hard soldered to it. There is no speaker nor smoke outputs. There are some issues with operation, so as a starting point to upgrading the model I am in the process of obtaining an IBU2 board (Pro because in future I'd like to replace the turret and gun operation with servos) from RC Tank Electronics. I have a Futaba 6ch FASST 2.4GHz radio that I will use for control.

I am going to need new wiring harnesses, however, to plug into the new board, but RCTE don't sell them. I've tried Welsh Dragon Models, but they are listed as out of stock.

Can anyone suggest where I can get these in the UK, please?

Once I get the tank up and running properly, I will start correcting and upgrading.

Hi Wunderwaffe, welcome to the forum. If you need anything for tanks I find the first stop and the best is to talk to Dave and Julie at Forgebear Tanks
http://www.forgebeartanks.com/store/c1/ ... ducts.html
they are a member of the forum and incredibly helpful. If they haven't got it or can't get it, they will point you in the right direction.

Hi Scott, I forgot to mention it in the last reply but we have a section on recommended vendors and vendor blacklist that is worth checking before you place orders in order to save worry and frustration. I'm presuming you are dealing with Ian (tankbear - http://www.rctankelectronics.com/) for the IBU2 who is also a member and again incredibly helpful.

Everyone on the forum is very helpful so if you have any queries then don't hesitate to post them - the only stupid question is the one you don't ask and then muck something up!

Good luck with your new hobby

Alwyn

You may find this useful in sorting out your wiring as most of the wiring still applies to the IBU2

Thanks Alwyn
I know that I will find that diagram helpful in the quest to get the T90 board working in my Königstiger !
