Was the US web gear (particularly the large & small back packs) the same for both conflicts?
I'm thinking I can use Sherman accessory packs for the Korean war M26?
:O

My Grandfather told me he ate rations and used equipment from WW1 while in WW2, my father told me he ate rations and used equipment from WW2 while in Vietnam. The US Military always repurposes :)

I was in the US army in the 70's and most of the web gear was WW2 issue or copies of that used in WW2. Only what was attached to it really changed. Never had rations left from WW2 but the new C's were the same. From Pics of Korean war I've seen WW2 web gear and packs were still in use in Korea.
