First I wanted to commend Mr Alwyn Turner for all his efforts in the design and concept and construction of this amazing model.Image Image

I have been following along with many others as this build progressed. After pestering him enough lol I was able to get the first kitImage It was money very well spent.

The servo assemblies and traverse systems are incredibly well thought out.

I have much to do in terms of final assembly and picking out a camo scheme. The fit and finish is absolutely beautiful.

I know it's in its raw form but felt I had to share with others the beauty of its design that is a testament to Alwyn's efforts and skillsImage

It arrived to The Us in less than a week and came exceptionally well packed.

Carl I'm delighted that it got there in one piece and hope that you get as much pleasure from painting/customising/finishing this tank as I got from putting the base kit together. Having spent a lot of time designing and manufacturing the parts I wanted others to get enjoyment from building and using something that is slightly different from the Heng Long/Tamiya/Mato tanks that are out there. Please post pics as you customise and paint/finish the tank as I'm intrigued as to what your end result will look like.

Best regards
Alwyn

Its the year ozf the Nashorn.

Wow, Great job Carl. Do you intent to add the radio at the rear of the fighting compartment ? I am planning to finally build my Juckenberg kit and my research shows a radio on a metal rack under a rain protection plate consistently at the extreme end, right side. Juckenburg got the arrangement wrong.

Give all the credit to Mr Alwyn Turner... He is the creator of this beast. I am the mere mortal who is assembling and wiring painting etc....I will ask him about that and see what he thinks about the radio setup. Thank you for looking!!

I've only found a 1/35 detailed model that shows this
Image
This is about the only place that a radio could be put where the tank commander on the radio would not interfere with the loaders.
You will also see the machine pistol racks on either side of the rear door plus lots of other detail that can be added to the model to add authenticity.

Lots of fun to be had!!

Found another detailed model in eastern front camo showing the radio compartment

There are a number of other details on here including spare wheels mounted at the back plus other details that could be added.
