can u buy a transformer to test tank operations ie recoil rather than having to connect to the battery so that you have a live feed always handy rather than having to wait to charge the battery any one know what type and voltage

Anything that has an output of 6-8.4v will do it, but its probably cheaper to buy a decent charger and battery. A 5000mah Nimh will last for hours if you are only testing, and will charge in 20 mins on a 4 amp charge.

If you goto Clark board website there is a section to teach you how to convert one of the stock Heng Long Battery charger into a live feed to test electronics.

John, Good to hear from you again!
The time honored method of testing electronics around here usually goes like 'fiddle...fiddle...fi.ZAAKK!' Try to avoid this method if at all possible. Anyway, what Michael and W.W. said.
