New Server,

hi guys,

unfortunatly the Forum is having to move to a new server, this means that they may be a day where the forum is offline, but if it all goes to plan we will all be back to normal,

unfortunatly though, this new webhosting is slightly more expensive that the current one, as the current one is hostined on a friends server, where the only thing that needs paying for is the .com but the one will have to pay for the hosting aswell.

its 9.99 USD a month, so about 20p from every member should do it, i say every member because as we all know there are a few that are ... not so active lets say. I know we've all poured alot into this site content wise, so lets not let is go to nothing by missing a payment! you can donate on the doations page, but as it says there also its better if you send it as a gift so that no money is lost to the greedy paypal its Finance(at)rctankwarfare.com

Well I think you should ask FV432 to get us a deal on a new server host. Judging but the deals he gets on his tanks they'll end up paying us to host the site  ;D

Seriously though... I know this might be an awkward question Matt but how much would you prefer us to donate? Obviously everyone isnt going to donate the 20p a month and it seems a little silly going to the effort to give such a small amount. My dodgy maths says the $9.99 per month works out to be about £75 a year. I'd have no problem giving £5-£10 for the year to maintain such a great forum, hopefully others feel the same.

Personally I'd prefer to send one payment to cover 12 months and maybe you could set up a handy post to remind us our "subs" are due a month in advance. I might be worth seeing here who's happy to donate and what they'd be willing to give? How does that sound to everyone?

Yep one off payment for the year is the way to go in my opinion, we just need to work out how much.
