Challenger Tank up armour question

Challenger Tank up armour question

Hi Guys, do you know if a challenger had the up armour on the turret but not on the chassis ever ? I can make the white Turret up armour, but will be a mission to make the lower chassis skirting that covers the wheels................but if I have to lol

The white panels that were fitted to the front of the turret were Combat Identification Panels (CIP) and most were removed after the end of hostility, later on in the Iraq war, think it was 2009 they had armour block fitted to the turret sides withe armourer, your best bet is to get the Tankograd books on Challenger 2 & the one on Britain's 3rd generation armour
