airsoft gun /turret "machine gun" LED question.

I just got my Heng Long M26 operating after a long saga but have something odd happening.
If I allow the airsoft main gun to run out of ammo & then turn it OFF the red LED quits working although I still get the sound & recoil effects. That I understand, its a simulation for indoor use so you won't "put the cat's eye out"!
Here's the weird thing.
When I reload pellets & switch the airsoft back ON it takes several shots for it to produce a pellet & only then does the red LED light up.
Is this normal?

Spam I'm not sure about this one. I've never been a big fan of the airsoft unit myself. I know there is a trigger switch on the rear of the cannon assembly. I had to adjust mine to make it fire consistently. I've been drawn to recoil setup for realism but that's just me.

Sounds like the gun is operating properly as you say it does fire until empty. Not sure if it takes a few phantom shots until it finally is able to expel a bb shot.

I'm sure someone on the forum has touched on this in the Heng Long section or electronics.Image

Oh yes!
It may be me not being used to the system.

Have you tried just leaving it switched on? I never switch mine off, and have never encountered your problem. The instruction sets in these MFUs are pretty basic, as are the pcbs and chips. It only seems to take small changes, and variations, in voltage and current to make them misbehave :-<
The warning LED part of the gun circuit is quite annoying and actually unnecessary...it's only there for Health and Safety reasons, as is the 'on/off' switch.. though that might have some notional benefit.
Normal Ni-mh batteries don't allow maximum performance for very long and, as the charge dissipates, so does the consistency of the MFU's output. Then glitches appear. Also,
Just about any product in this global world with a silicon chip in it, will need a reboot when it begins to behave oddly.
Just a few thoughts.
