Hi all
As some of you may know, I purchased a heng long tiger 1 with the 2.4 ghz system in it. Until recently, I've had no problems with it. However a few days ago, when I was browsing the forum, I saw mention of the variable soundset and, sure enough, there were two little buttons on the controller, which were supposed to change the sound. So. I fired up the tank ran it around and then tried to change the sound. I first pressed the button on the right........ Nothing happened, but that's ok as I'm probably already on that soundset. Pressed the button on the left...........and instead of leopard sounds, the machine gun started firing

. Don't know what's going on here, but if anyone else does I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

What about the two buttons on top of the TX?
Either side of where the aerial would come out , what do they do?

You mean the silvery coloured ones. Exactly what they are supposed to do, machine gun and main cannon. So now I've got a controller with two buttons for the machine gun.

Just did a quick test, and the button that I previously thought did nothing actually allows me to fire bb's.

I'm starting to think the person who put together my Tx at the factory wired the buttons into the wrong spot.

I think you're meant to press the adjacent 'Gun' and 'Cannon" buttons simultaneously to change the soundset. Didn't the user's manual explain this?

Maybe you didn't get one, or it was in puzzling 'Chinglish..Anyway...
The latest HL Transmitter with dual sound sets appears in this lengthy, if entertaining, video about the T90 (with has the same electronics as the latest Tiger) About five mins in the enthusiastic Johnny Chan described the button functions
Failing that,
Paul Silverlock gives a visual account of the buttons' functions:
If Johnny doesn't put you to sleep, or reach for the 'subtitles' button, he might be of use to you...

Ahh thanks very much, those videos explained everything.
My instruction booklet, made no mention of the variable sound controls, because for some reason the booklet that came with the tank was the one for the regular tank, not the 2.4 GHz one.

anyway thanks for all your help.

Yip, it got me too.
The option to change souds are available from the K and G buttons on the Tx as well as by holding the silver 'bullet shooting' button down & bliping the left side Machine Gun Sound silver button.
Ive got good enough with mine that I can start up on the Leo 2 set(its sounds a lot cooler cranking over) and just as it kicks in-switch to the Tiger sound.
Shame though I still need to sort out how to get the Taigen recoil to work and sound right off it
