Hi everyone.

Can anyone help me with a little problem I am getting with a Tamiya Panther. The barrell elevation motor seems to slip. The barrell moves down with no problem but when I try to move it up it wont go and just stays put. I have tried to cure the problem by removing the spring inside the turret that is connected to the back of the gun assembly to lessen the resistance for the elevation motor. This sort of works but the barrell still slips some of the time. I suspect that the clutch is slipping on the elevation motor. Is there a way to fix or adjust this or do I need a new elevation motor ??

I epoxied the gear in my Sherman and added micro-switches in place of the metal stops.

a very outstanding work of neat and tidy wiring.  Much neater than IMPACT's manual on putting in the micro-switches.

This method is the best way to really resolve the barrel elevation (along with fixing the clutch gear and changing to metal elevator arm).  The downside is that tankers must have some soldering skill and component knowledge to get it right.

I went with the gluing the clutch option. Took about 20 mins and all is working well.
