Beier sound card into Taigen Tiger 1 does go !
Re: Beier sound card into Taigen Tiger 1 does go !
The one I fitted is a USM- HL-2.
Having run the tank some more and also discovering all the additional sounds which can be activated before you start up the Maybach I think it is an excellent sound card and is the equal of any I have heard on YouTube

Mr Tigrr is it possible to use a hobby grade radio or do you have to use the Heng Long taigen radio?
Thank you!
Thank you!
Tanks alot....
Re: Beier sound card into Taigen Tiger 1 does go !
Hi Carl. I suppose if you could bind a different radio to the Torro/ Taigen board you could....
Part of my rationale for buying the Beier was the fact I didn't need to buy a replacement radio for my Taigen unit.

Hi Carl, you are right, i'm using the old USM-HL, and yes, just took a look on the Beier website and this model is no longer referenced there. I didn't knew this.c.rainford73 wrote:Hi Jussek I'm assuming the sound card you are using is the usm-hl and the one that Tigrr is now using is the new version? The model you have is very nice but no longer available?Jussek wrote:I've been using the USM-HL for 5 years, you can find the samples on some treads in this forum, and also i 've my profiles shared on the Beier forum. The Beier and the Benedini are the only pure sound cards i know right now, and i my opinion nothing beat them. The main issue i've with all the myriad of new control boards that use SD cards are the micro lapse times of switching the sounds. I could be a bit oversensitive on this issue, though
best regards
I am very impressed with the Beier sounds and am strongly considering one
Carl
I own 3 of them, the last one i bought second hand, so maybe this is the only way if you want this model.
best regards
Jussek

Jussek are the sounds easy to setup? I'm somewhat electrically challenged at times but do like to try new and different things.
Also on their website they have some very interesting speaker and enclosure setups

Tiggr you said you didn't have to solder. I'm fine with soldering the leads to the rx18 if needed. But if that could be avoided.... All the betterTiggr wrote:They must be easy to set up Carl - cos I managed it !
Do you have an interior picture of the wiring setup in your Tiger?
I am very curious

I am rebuilding a Taigen Tiger I. It currently is running an rx18 with rc5hl from Rc tanks Australia with a 6 channel transmitter. Can I add the Beier sound card to my rx18 and control it with the rc5hl?
I was thinking of doing something different with this tanks electronics.
Thanks in advance
Carl
