What if any, is the relationship between these two.
I still can't figure it out.

These are what I know, correct me if I'm wrong:
1. Taigen used to be part of Heng Long
2. Taigen separated from Heng Long, buy parts from Heng Long, upgrade and marketing with their own brand (Taigen)
3. Taigen produces their own parts but compatible with Heng Long's products
4. Taigen designs and produces parts which no longer compatible with Heng Long's like metal lower hull and torsion bars
5. Taigen is based in the U.S and producing one of the toughest running tank but their electrics are just a cooling fan more than Heng Long's
6. Today, Taigen would say that they are not Heng Long or anything connecting with Heng Long

Roy covered some of the convoluted relationships between several of the manufacturers in
this thread. Seems like a bit of an inbred family.

Every time someone from Taigen denies that they are now a part of Heng Long, I cannot help bursting out laughing,
Look at a Tiger 1 Tank produced by both of these company's, are they different,?
Does one have the Cupola mounted incorrectly,?
Does one have two spare radio aerial stowage tubes?
NO!!
BOTH OF THEM DO
After all these years the moulds have been changed countless times and if they were truly separate company's those same faults would have been corrected ten years ago and yet here we are still correcting faults from what seems like twenty years ago.
You can tell me its night time but if the Suns out I will call you a liar.
South of the Arctic circle that is.
Shaun.

Maybe they work out of Tasmania?

Recently I bought a Taigen panther G, under the taigen sticker was the HL dragon, even the instructions had a hastily applied sticker figure that one out if they're not anything to do with eachother.
