Hi All,
I'm trying to replace the badly worn/ damaged suspension arms grub screws on my taigen hulled vehicles, I haven't got a veneer to measure them.
What "M" gauge do I need to order

they're approximately 4-5 mm in length.

In my experience the provided grub screws have two (sic)shortcomings,
They are pointed which limits the area that retains the suspension arm and they are too short,
I always use longer (6mm) flat bottomed M3 Grub screws for every application where grub screws are used.
Buy a couple of packets of 50, they cost about £10 for 50 and that way you will always have some available.
I buy a lot of my fixings from---

Click on fixings then on metric grub screws.
Shaun.

Thanks Shaun,
That's superb. yeah i had planned to file the ends but flat ones would be better and provide more grip on the axles.

Matt, "Screwfix" are selling steel Vernier gauges for £12.99, which includes a depth guage and has two other advantages,
A sturdy case and it does not need batteries.
I urge you to Buy one, It is on my list of tools I cannot manage without.
