Dont know if this has been covered before, but if you are fitting tool and cable clamps as i am to my Tiger 1. Jarndice kindly informed where to get the wingnuts from (thanks Shaun). To drill these out for M1 tapping, rather than go for micro drills, have a look at PCB drills, i got some from Amazon for no money at all. They come on a 3mm shank and are much easier to handle.

I'll second the recommendation; I've been using PCB drill bits for a while, and they're much less likely to break than the normal tiny HSS drill bits you can get. I picked them up from Jaycar for a few dollars, and they had a pin vise to suit.

I still use a Pin Vise but a long time ago I bought a TAMIYA Hand drill, This is used in much the same way as a Pin Vise but it has a grip that fills the palm and has a small but proper "Chuck", This lets me use a much larger range of tools including all the multiple choice heads for loosening/tightening Hex heads etc as well as drill bits up to "6".
It is easily the best way to tap a thread in a Tank Body or part rather than using the provided tool, and it is easier to keep a flow of oil into the cutting area.
Shaun.
